Marketing and Effie Live! 2022
This year, Marketing and Effie Live! once again provided a stage for the best marketeers and most interesting cases. More than 700 participants came together in Theater Amsterdam to share their expertise and attend the award show of the prestigious Effie Awards. At the Industry Drink, for both visitors of Marketing Live! and the Effie Awards, colleagues found each other.
This year’s MarketingLive! conference had the theme Bright Perspectives on Marketing and consisted of two parts. In the morning program, Dorkas Koenen (Rabobank), Thecla Schaeffer and Ralph Rijks (Zalando), climbed the stage under the guidance of modarator Donatello Piras. CMO’s shared their vision of the profession and how they can continue to make a difference as marketeers. Based on the results of the Big Marketing Survey – the annual research of Adformatie and DVJ Insights into the most urgent marketing issues – a panel of top marketeers discussed the challenges for 2023 and beyond. The audience was invited to express their opinions on this and discuss it with each other. The closing program of the conference also included the guests of the Effie Awards, allowing them to travel to Theater Amsterdam before the traffic jam.
At the beginning of the evening the Effie ceremony started with the Industry Drink, followed by a dinner at round tables in the ‘black box’ of Theater Amstedam, the space behind the theatre. After dinner, the theatre’s large semi-circular screen opened and visitors were invited to find a seat in the theater hall. The Heart Foundation, Lay’s (PepsiCo) and ŠKODA Netherlands received a Golden Effie Award. The award show was alternated with song and dance acts with special LED effects and a speech by Greenpeace in which they appealed to the advertising industry. In the varied program we further discussed the most important developments in the field of marketing effectiveness and the trends within the submissions. But of course it was all about who would go home with the much desired bronze, silver or golden effies this year!
PINO took care of the entire production and organization of both events. The content programming of the Marketing and Effie Live! was also in good hands at PINO. We also produced various Marketing Talks in the run-up to the events.
